1. Who We Are

Shinsei is operated by Tsimafei Launik as a sole proprietorship (jednoosobowa działalność gospodarcza) registered in Poland.

2. Data We Collect

Depending on how you use Shinsei, we collect:

Account and authentication data: email address, sign-in provider and account identifier (for example Apple ID-based identifier), authentication/session tokens, and basic account timestamps.

Profile and settings data: timezone, push notification token, and subscription status timestamps.

Usage and personalization data: your in-app interactions (for example likes/skips, action completion, swap/not-for-me feedback), generated actions/signals/insights/archetypes, trait scores, and interaction history used for personalization.

Guest mode data: temporary guest session token, survey responses, and generated guest archetype data. Guest sessions expire automatically.

Technical and security data: logs, request metadata, and error diagnostics.

3. How We Use Data

We use personal data to provide and improve Shinsei, including account access, personalized content generation, push notifications, subscription entitlement handling, security, debugging, abuse prevention, and support communication.

4. AI Processing and Profiling

Shinsei uses AI models to generate app content (such as archetypes, insights, actions, and images) based on your interactions and profile context. This is purely for entertainment and personalization purposes. It does not constitute any form of psychological assessment, diagnosis, therapy, or professional advice of any kind, and is not used for decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Legal Bases (GDPR)

Where GDPR applies, we process data under one or more of these bases: performance of a contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, reliability, product improvement), consent (for optional push notifications and similar permissions), and legal obligations.

6. Service Providers and Sharing

We use processors and infrastructure providers to run Shinsei, including cloud hosting/storage, AI providers, app store/payment infrastructure, subscription tooling, push delivery, analytics, email delivery, and error monitoring. Examples may include DigitalOcean, OpenAI, Apple/Google app stores, RevenueCat, Expo, VeMetric, Fastmail, and Rollbar. We share data only as needed to provide the Service, comply with law, or protect rights/safety.

7. International Transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country, including outside the EEA/UK, when our providers operate globally. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfer.

8. Data Retention

We retain account data while your account is active and as needed for legitimate business and legal purposes. Guest session data is temporary and currently expires after approximately 48 hours unless merged into an account. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated personal data except where retention is legally required.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability. You can request deletion in-app (Profile → Delete Account) or contact us at tim@shinsei.app.

10. Children

Shinsei is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material updates will be posted here with a revised date.
